Principal Welcome

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. I was personally drawn to the school because of the strong focus on traditional Catholic faith. The school's vision is to guide every child to grow spiritually and academically and help them know love and serve God. Students are embraced for their uniqueness and brought to the understanding that they are wonderfully made in the image of God.

I am humbled to work for St. Catherine's and excited to bring over two decades of educational experience. Being fully bilingual has afforded me many blessings, as I feel I can minister to both English and Spanish-speaking families. St. Catherine's is blessed to have devoted, caring families who bring many gifts to share so that the school can be a home for all who enter the doors.

St. Catherine of Siena School has a dynamic team of staff and teachers who are devoted to their faith and focused on students growing at their individual ability levels. The teachers are highly qualified in their specific areas and/or grade levels. Their focus is to teach students to creatively analyze information, effectively communicate ideas and implement a diverse curriculum. Lessons are taught to relate to real-life situations. Collaborative learning, hands-on learning, and critical thinking are all key to the teaching methodology of the teachers.

My education and leadership have helped me bring a strong vision to the school. I hold a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership: K-12; a Master's Degree in Business Administration; and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education. I am passionate about enriching curriculum for all students and have extended this passion into ministering to ELD communities. I have actively served in professional associations, including the Association of Latino Administrators for Arizona and Utah, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the National Association of Elementary School Principals. One of my passions is presenting Professional Development for Educators. This has included focuses such as; servicing at-risk students, creating best instructional practices, effective assessments, data collection, and implementing best procedures and protocols.

I invite you to browse through our website to see current happenings and look forward to sharing with you all the blessings God has bestowed upon this wonderful community.

Blessings!
